I often slept on my parents' bedroom floor or sat at the top of the steps, anticipating daybreak. Prayers for dark dreams to elude me were routine. The Holy Ghost is described as a spiritual advisor in scripture. A child's imagination easily merges biblical narratives with fairytales and animated characters. Casper personifies the Holy Ghost as the boy petitions for peaceful slumber. Raggedy Ann and Andy venomously march across the lower portion of the drawing, ready to stir up trouble. |
